Afraid of taking menopause hormone therapy? Been told it's dangerous, not for you or that it's "too late to start"?

For decades, menopause hormone therapy (MHT) has been clouded by outdated studies, conflicting headlines, and fear-based medicine. Join Dr. Genevieve Neal-Perry – leading menopause researcher and Chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UNC School of Medicine – for a one-hour conversation on what hormone therapy actually does, who's a candidate (and who isn't), and how to advocate for the care you deserve.

This talk is for anyone considering MHT or simply trying to make sense of the conflicting information you've heard from friends, doctors, and the media. Join us for a fact based discussion on:

  • How the history of MHT research has shaped access to and myths around MHT
  • The differences between local, systemic, and “birth control” MHT options
  • The truth about MHT and breast cancer risk, how today's science differs from the 2002 headlines, and what to think about the removal of the black box warning
  • How to know if you're a candidate, what type to consider, and when to start
  • What to ask your doctor – and what to do if they're not up to speed on the latest evidence

Leave feeling empowered with newfound knowledge to advocate for the hormone therapy care you deserve.

Note: If you’re unable to attend live, we will share a video replay of the talk with anyone who has RSVP’d.
